![]() This has been by far the most unsatisfactory experience I have had as it relates to customer service. ![]() While in line, I called the toll free reservations and changed the rental time to assure that the same thing didn’t happen again. I needed a car so I had no choice but to wait in line again. He walked away as he was saying take it or leave it. ![]() At this point I lost my cool and I must admit I yelled at him telling him that he new nothing about about customer service and that if I ran my business that way, I would go bankrupt. I explained the situation to him and he said there was nothing he could do that I needed to stand in line even though I had already stood in line for 1 hour. I then asked for a manager and a male manager came up. I asked the Hertz rental agent if she could help me and she said there was nothing she could do. I left the line and checked with other car rental companies but unfortunately they were sold out or so they claimed. By this time I was very upset and did raise my voice at her when I told her that was no way of handling customers. She demanded I move aside so she could help the next customer since she was not going to change the rate to the reserved rate until I came back at the appropriate time, by this point not even 45 minutes later. She told me the only solution was more me to get back in line and wait 1 more hour so when I reached the front of the line it would be the right time. I was already upset at having waited for 1 hour in line, and then even more so at her explanation of the additional charge. Her explanation was that since I was picking up the car 1 hour early, I had to pay the difference. I stopped her when she told me that my rental charge was going to be $1,700 or so, not sure of the exact amount since my quote was for $530.00. When it was my turn, the agent helped me, filled out all the paperwork and proceeded to explain the charges to me. ![]() I waited for 1 hour in line as there was only 1 car rental agent assisting customers. My flight arrived early and I headed to the Thrifty Car Rental counter. I reserved a car for your location at Salt Lake City Airport for pickup on February 12 at 3:30 pm and drop off on February 16 before 3 pm. ![]()
